Cashew day
It always falls on
November 23 every year.
Cashew or Western
kidney is a tropical tree 12 meters high. The kidney comes from northeastern
Brazil. Produces cashew seed and apple. The tree produces up to 50 kg of
cashews per year.
The cashew apple
is eaten raw, boiled or can be fermented into vinegar or alcoholic beverage. In

a positive effect on eyes, mucous membranes, skin, strengthens the nervous
system, helps from fatigue and weakness, suppresses spasms of the irritable
bowel. Cashew further reduces blood cholesterol, helps with painful
menstruation, promotes cell regeneration and growth, helps with angina
pectoris, and promotes sperm production. Cashews are eliminated by anemia.
In about 6% of the
population, cashews can cause complications or a life-threatening, allergic
reaction.
Cashew shells
contain petroleum compounds that can cause contact dermatitis (skin
inflammation). Therefore, cashews are not sold to consumers in shell.
