Darwin's Day

It always falls on February 12th every day.

This is the celebration of the birth of Charles Darwin on February 12, 1809 and is celebrated around the world. Charles Robert Darwin was a British natural scientist and founder of evolutionary biology.

The celebration of his work and honors was sporadically since his death on 19 April 1882.

On this day, various events (workshops, symposiums, lectures, debates, essays, concerts ...) take place around the world. It is a day of celebration, activism and international cooperation for the development of science, education and human welfare.

It was a pioneer of the modern form of evolution theory through natural selection. In his book About the Origin of Species, published in 1859, he argued that all contemporary forms of life on Earth originate from a single ancestor and that diversity in the animal and plant kingdom arose due to the natural selection, migration, extinction and mutation of the genes.

Charles Darwin Quotes:

"In nature, survival and success are the question of the most capable and most attractive."

"He is not the strongest survivor, not the most intelligent, but the one who can best adapt."

"Nature is trying to lie to you directly in the eyes."
