Day of hats

It is celebrated every January 15th every year.

It's an unofficial holiday celebrating one of the oldest additions. Hats have been worn for various purposes such as showing a social status, festive or fashionable purposes, protection from sun, rain or other hazards.

It is precisely not known when the Day of Hats originated or who started it. More than 5200 years ago, one of the most common hats in the tomb of Thebes was painted. The picture is a man who wears something that looks like a straw hat. Over the years, the headgear had changed. During the 18th century, various hats began to be produced around the world. Hats have become a symbol of wealth mostly among women.

The hat is part of the clothing and serves as a headgear. It is sophisticated and divided into 3 parts. It is a roof or a corpus and has a flat bottom, the bottom edge is wide, wavy or flat (brim) and encircles the entire perimeter of the hat. If he does not have a kremp hat he can have a circular label. The most common material is woolen cloth, felt, leather, light fabrics, vegetable fibers. They have different decorations (bows, coat of arms, label, bird feather). The women's bows had bows to hang under the chin and rich decoration (artificial flowers, fruits).

Nowadays, hats are worn occasionally, but for practical reasons they are used mostly against the sun. Women wear hats at social events (wedding, funeral). It is a good thing to take a hat, for example, in racing.
