International Day of Human Solidarity

It always falls on December 20th every year.

The General Assembly on 22 December 2005 identified solidarity as one of the fundamental and universal values. These should be the basis of relations between peoples in the 21st century. On 20 December 2002, the Global Solidarity Fund was established. The aim is to eliminate poverty and promote human and social development in developing countries.

Solidarity is labeled as one of the fundamental values ​​of international relations in the 21st century. Those who suffer or have the least benefit deserve help from those who benefit most. Therefore, the UN General Assembly is convinced that promoting the fight against poverty is important for a culture of solidarity and the spirit of sharing.

The creation of the UN has attracted people and peoples of the world to support peace, human rights and social and economic development.

The aim is to recall that people who live in poverty and encourage us not to close our eyes to this problem but to fight it.

Nowadays people are suffering from extreme poverty (they have no place to live, do not have access to basic food, drinking water and medical help). It also means spending 1 dollar a day.
