International day without plastic bags

It is celebrated every July 3 every year

This day is celebrated to make people realize that the more plastic bags they use, the greater the impact on the environment. Plastic bags are used incredibly for a short time, usually 25 minutes, and then disposed of. The bags can then escape from our thinking, but not from the world. Plastic bags are 100 - 500 years old. When the plastic decomposes, it just breaks down into small pieces, which one does not see, but is absorbed into the soil and into groundwater. More than a trillion microtene bags or bags are consumed per year, an incredible amount of waste. There are large cliffs of plastic in the ocean, and plastic bags are the most common among them. An even bigger problem is that these plastic islands have a length of up to several miles. That is why plastic gathering events are organized to at least slightly affect this nature pollution. Every day, millions of plastic bags are disposed of and without active people, the future will deal with hundreds of millions of plastic bags that plug oceans, rivers and the world. The problem has reached such proportions that what was formerly pure sand on the beaches of the world is now in piles of natural substances and rubbish plastic. The survey found that 73% of seafood has plastic in it. If you want to be even more proactive, go to http://www.plasticbagfreeday.org/ to help you organize events, connect with other people in your city or the world who are trying to change, or find events for volunteers and help yourself. Popular international day activities with no plastic bags include meeting people on the road, beaches and rivers and picking up all the rubbish they find there.
