The day of the manuscript

It always falls on January 23 every year.

This unofficial holiday from the 70's is being promoted more every year. People more use computers, tablets and phones to send messages (mail, SMS) and the art of the handwriting is slowly losing. The handwriting is considered unique to man because it is like his fingerprint.

The Romans were the first to create a letter of correspondence based on the aspects he borrowed from the Etruscan alphabet. It was a simple method of recording transactions and communicating with other people. In the 5th century, it began to evolve and resemble our modern writing. Italian humanists invented italic form and became known as italics. During the 1980s, the availability of typewriters and word processors displaced classical pen paper writing.

According to research, classical writing (paper and pen) has the benefit of higher levels of literacy and cognitive development. In this way, children will learn to read faster, improve their ideas and preserve information than children who do not.

Graphology is the study of the manuscript and analyzes the character, personality and ability of the writer. This makes it possible to find more than 5000 different personality traits and is used to detect certain diseases (Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease).

A manuscript is any handwritten document. It can also be a note that is recorded by hand (an inscription printed on hard material, engraved in plaster, sharp markings on a flat bed of unburnt clay).

Manuscript is a window into our uniqueness, a tool of creativity and brain training.
