Thesaurus day

It always happens on January 18 each year.

It's an unofficial holiday. It commemorates the anniversary of the birth of the British lexicgrapher and doctor Peter Roget, the author of Roget's thesaurus.

A thesaurus is a dictionary of a particular language or subject terminology. It is often with a hierarchical arrangement of individual passwords.

Rogent's thesaurus is widely used in the English language. It was first created by Peter Mark Roget in 1805. It was published on April 29, 1852. The original edition had 15,000 words and each subsequent edition was more extensive. The most famous work is the Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases (called Roget's Thesaurus). Peter Mark Roget invented a logarithmic ruler in 1815.

Rogent's thesaurus consists of 6 primary classes and these consist of sections and those of parts. Today, the thesaurus has more than 230,000 words and is still commercially successful and still used.

Thesaurus means the treasure of the Greek word thesaurus.
