World Milk Day


It always falls on June 1 every year.



This day was launched in 2001 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Milk contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, copper, iron, iodine. It also contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K and B and C vitamins. Milk is a source of protein, and these are important for tissue, hormone and antibody development. It acts as a prevention against osteoporosis and promotes proper bone growth. Milk improves thyroid function, hematopoiesis, improves the composition of the microflora of the digestive tract and contributes to the proper development of the skeleton.

Dairy production is part of the reduction menu. However, dairy products are nutritionally and energetically very rich, and must be considered a hearty meal to accommodate the entire diet. If someone has an allergy to milk protein or lactose intolerance, milk and dairy products should be avoided and removed from the diet. Milk and dairy products are important to people and need to be added to the diet.

The aim is to focus on milk and raise awareness of dairy production in healthy nutrition, responsible food production and support for livelihoods and communities.

We will not replace full milk with anything else. Milk is a major part of a children's diet since childhood.
